in 2021, I was hired by cinch to design alterations to their 2nd version pop-up tent. based out of England, cinch makes innovative, smart pop tents for the casual camper.
My focus with cinch to ideate on an improved canopy system and dual-purpose windows. the goal with the canopies was to design a modular system where walls and windows could be added or removed to fit the environment and user's needs. the goal for the windows was to help regulate temperature inside the tent. This can be done by venting heat when the window flaps are opened and trapping heat inside when the windows are closed
